Author's Bio
After you read a book with your kids, read the information about the author.
After reading the Bible, ask: Who is the author of the Bible?
God is the author of the Bible. Holy men were moved by God to write down His words for us to know (2 Peter 1:21). Over 40 men wrote the Bible during a time period of 1500 years, but it all fits together. Why? Because there is only ONE author—God.

"God Breathed"
Assign your child the "job" of writing a letter to someone. (Is there a thank you note waiting to be written?) Tell your child to think of what he or she wants to say and then say it to you and you will write it down.
Ask:
Even though I wrote down the words for you, who was the letter really from? (You)
The letter contained your thoughts and your words. I only put them down on paper for you.
Read 2 Timothy 3:16a (All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.)
Where did the words of the Bible come from? (God)
Inspiration is a big word that means, “God breathed.” The Bible is not the words of different men (Moses, Isaiah, Matthew, Paul, etc.) but it is the very words of GOD. The Bible contains His thoughts and His words. Holy men wrote down God's words so we could know how much He loves us and how we can live with Him forever.

Our Holy GPS
Item needed: GPS or map
When you get in the car, ask:
How can we get to _________? (Some place you don't know how to get to)
How can we get to _________? (Some place you don't know how to get to)
We can look at the map or put the address into our GPS. (Put the address in or point it out on the map.) It will help us know the way to go. If we follow the road it tells us to go on, we can be sure we will get to the place we need to go.
What happens if we take a wrong turn? (It will tell us to turn around or if we look at the map, it will tell us which road to follow.)
Read 2 Timothy 3:16 (All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.)
How is the Bible like a map or GPS? (It tells us the way to go and even corrects us if we go the wrong way; it contains instructions about how to live right.)
