Once Upon A Happily Ever After
As you are reading a story to your kids, start with the last page of the book.
Ask:
Why would anyone read the last page of the book first? (So they can know what will happen)
Reading the last page (the ending) first makes all the scary parts okay because you know what will happen at the end. Reading what happens at the end of the Bible makes all the bad parts okay because God will be the ultimate winner in the end. God will create a new heaven and a new earth. He will make things right and live with His people forever. What an amazing ending!

What Does Heaven Look Like?
Items needed: paper and pencils (or crayons or markers)
Give each family member a piece of paper and pencil. Ask each one to draw a picture of what they think heaven looks like. Students using the D6 curriculum discussed what is and isn't in heaven.
Read Revelation 21:1-4; 22:1-5 for more details. There are no words or pictures that can adequately describe just how wonderful heaven will be!

The REAL You
Ask:
Do you ever wonder what happens when a person dies? The real "you" will live forever, but your body goes into the grave. Explain that the real person is inside your body.

Pinch one of the kids and ask, "Did that hurt?" (Yes!) I hurt your body. If I were to say bad things about you, would that hurt? That would hurt the real you who lives inside your body. That part of you will never die, but will live forever. Your body is put into a casket and put into the ground.
If you are part of God's family and have accepted His Son, Jesus, the real you will go straight to heaven to live with Him forever.
